Developed business change strategies and proposals through advanced systems thinking for Wiltshire Council to save 19% of its budget of £172m+ in response to government directives.Reduced the cost of developing and supporting systems, and the costs of inappropriate, or over-budget projects, by introducing a project culture into NationalExpress, with new requirements-gathering and business improvement methodologies, providing processes, standards, manuals, training and toolkits, gaining business and management buy-in, validated by the Department for Transport. Developed corporate unity of purpose and operation and opened innovative channels of business for the 17 companies of the Adare Group. Provided consultancy, IT due diligence and visioned strategy in a series of business improvement, modernisation and cross-trading programmes, to reduce the burden and cost of supporting services and enabling the companies to concentrate on their core business.Halved the cost of system and web applications and ensured the accurate provision of requirements to internal and external clients by setting up first business analysis function at Bovis Lend Lease Europe and introducing PRINCE2 (both native and linked to DSDM as an agile methodology) to enable working on PFI projects. Removed single points of failure within IT and pooled and shared valuable knowledge. Reduced the costs of maintenance and related operations by 40%, and stockholding by 35%, at Trinity House Lighthouse Service by carrying out a BPR study and changing from a time-based operation culture to condition-based, using a new strategic system as a catalyst for change, and introduced a modified version of PRINCE2, validated by the Department for Transport and the NAO.Opened new channels for business by visioning web-based trading strategies for the NEC Group and developed project and business analysis processes and tools for the project office;Rescued failing takeover by Adare Group by replacing all computer hardware, software, communications and processes in six weeks to enable takeover of a bank’s fulfilment operations without losing a day’s production, attracting penalties or losing the contract.
