Outside work history, archaeology and geography/ecology are my main interests in life and I have spun enterprises off from those interests. When I am not working I like to use my time to make a contribution to the town and area where I live.
I am particularly interested in: History - mainly medieval, Tudor and Stuart.Local History - round the Midlands and the Heart of England.Local archaeology - although I am handicapped by an intense dislike of grave robbing I take part in archaeological enterprises (mostly geo-physical or terrain archaeology) in my area.Geographical/ecological events - mainly organising and leading walks and explorations and running lectures and day-schools with a geographical or ecological theme.Writing for hobby and general history magazines. Museum management and curatorial work - at the Almonry Heritage Centre in Evesham.Books - writing my own and editing, proof-reading and publishing others.Air displays and classic aircraft - my favourite day out Music - early, renaissance, baroque, folk and CelticWalking - hills, moors and exploring villages, towns and cities on foot
